Grounded Has Crossed 10 Million Players
Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded has achieved a new milestone, reaching over 10 million players since its launch into Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview. To celebrate the same, a new video has been released. The developer is also providing a dynamic background theme from the game for Xbox players. A free weekend for the survival sandbox title is also underway on Steam, and will end on February 13th at 8 AM PT. This follows the release of update 0.12.0 which adds the BBQ Spill, an area with hot coals, and the Termite Dungeon where – you guessed it – a hive of termites awaits. New weapons and armor have also been added along with new flooring material made of burr weeds. Among the newer features are the Peep.R for zooming in on points of interest from afar; Resource Survey Stations that will point out items and resources in previously explored areas, thus allowing for quickly locating the same; and the ability to craft multiple items at once. Ten new “Friends” have also been added like the ladybird, black ox beetle and shiny scarab. Grounded is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s planned to launch out of early access later this year.
