PlatinumGames’ Shoot-‘Em-Up Sol Cresta Takes PS4 to Bullet Hell in February

Over the weekend, PlatinumGames held a livestream all about Sol Cresta, its vertical shoot-’em-up that started life as an April Fools joke. We’ve known about the project since 2020, and it looks like the time has finally come to release this curious retro project. During the livestream — embedded above — Platinum revealed the release date for the game, and it’s out pretty dang soon.

In fact, it’s now part of the February scrum. Yes, Sol Cresta is scheduled for release on 22nd February 2022, coming to PlayStation 4. It’ll retail for $39.99.
