Fata Has Been “Kicked” From Tundra Esports

Tundra Esports parted ways with its captain/position five support Adrian “Fata” Trinks ahead of the second Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2021-22: Division 1. A tweet from the organization explained that parting ways with its captain was a difficult decision, but it needed “the best possible chemistry” to improve the team’s performance going forward. Interestingly, a few minutes before this tweet, Fata claimed on his personal Twitter handle that he was kicked from the roster. Tundra Esports recently competed in the DPC WEU 2021-22 Regional Finals and had a disappointing last place finish.

Fata claims that he was kicked from Tundra Esports

Tundra Esports issued an official statement on Twitter just minutes after Fata tweeted about being kicked from the roster.

“Ahead of the DPC Tour 2, we have decided to make a roster change. We can confirm that Adrian “Fata” Trinks will be leaving Tundra,” the organization stated. In addition, the statement thanked him for his contributions to the team.

Tundra Esports roster is down to four players after the departure of its captain.

It is surprising that Tundra Esports has experienced this roster change, considering its overall success over the course of its previous six months where it managed to secure wins in the ESL One Fall 2021, the OGA Dota PIT Season 5, and a third place in the DPC WEU 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1. At its peak, Tundra Esports was arguably Western Europe’s best team.

Unfortunately, it appears that some internal issues may be the reason behind this roster change, as the team indicated that it was being made to improve the team chemistry.

Fata leaves Tundra Esports after being a key member of the team since its inception as mudgolems in September 2020. The team was signed by Tundra Esports in January 2021 and had slowly climbed to the tier 1 circuit of Western Europe. The team narrowly missed making The International 10 as it lost to OG in the grand final of the WEU qualifiers.

After playing together since September 2018, first for Ninjas in Pyjamas, then Alliance, and finally Tundra Esports, this will be the first time that Fata will be playing without 33 in more than three years.

Tundra Esports said its new captain will be announced soon. Teams have until 27th Feb to lock their rosters.
